Here you will learn how to create a link so what when you click on it another web page will open.

For this example, we will use the home for the Calvary Vista College and Career ministry.

Here we will link the word "SEND Ministries" to another site (it could also be another article).

In this example we are using the Resource & Links module however an article could be used as well.

• After opening the module, we highlight the words SEND Ministries. (1)
• Then we click on the Insert/Edit Link button. (2)
  

The Advanced Link window will open

• We can then input the URL (or address) for the site that we want to link to. (1)
• In the Target box select Open in a new window. (2)
• Click on Insert (3) (or Update depending on your version) to finish creating your link.

If we were creating a link to an article named Opportunities:

• We would click on Content. (1)
• Then click on the article Opportunities. (2)
• Then press the Insert (or Update) button. (3)
  

The Insert/Edit window will close and you will see that the words SEND Ministries are now underlined and a different color. This means that you link has been created, either to a different web page on a different site or to an article.

In addition to linking to another article or website, you can also have the system launch a user's email program and automatically address a message to a given email address with a pre-formatted subject.

• To do this, you can click on the email icon (1) and the system will display a small window prompting for an email address and subject. (2)
• Then click on the article Opportunities. (2)
• Complete the required information and click OK to exit and then Update (Insert) (3) to complete your link.
• Click on Save to save and exit the editor.

When you look at the web page, you see that if you hover over the SEND Ministries link, you can click on the link or in the case of linking a word to an article, the words are a different color. Now when you click on them, the article will open.
