• The stories folder is the main folder to store all your images, documents, etc.
  (Not media files such as MP3, WMA, or WMV files. Those should be stored in your media sub-domain.)
• When you are using the options in Joomla to insert/add images, Joomla defaults to look for the files in the stories directory.
• Under the stories directory, you can create sub-folders to keep you files organized.
  

Locating the stories directory

• On the right side of the screen:
  • Double-click on the images directory, then
  • Double-click on the stories directory.
  • At this point you should see the something similar
