What is Webcasting?

A webcast, or web broadcast, is the transmission of data (audio and/or visual) live on the Internet, similar to traditional radio and television broadcasts.

Signal is sent from your soundboard (and camera) to a dedicated encoding computer. This computer encodes the signal, compressing it based on its configuration, and sends it through the Internet to our server.

As users attempt to listen or watch your webcast the Silverlight player, embedded in your website, connects to our streaming servers which distribute your webcast back to your users.
